Pricing & payment

How much does a visit cost without insurance?
$50 for a primary care visit if you're uninsured. Mental health visits are $100 for the initial consultation and follow-up visits are $80. Labs, imaging, and prescriptions are affordable and we're transparent about all costs upfront. See all self-pay rates.
What does the $50 cover?
$50 covers your primary care visit — provider time, exam, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Labs, imaging, and prescriptions are affordable and we're transparent about all costs upfront. See all self-pay rates.
What's the catch with $50 primary care visits?
No catch. We're a nonprofit with a mission to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to every Houstonian, regardless of income or insurance status. We built the operation around that. The $50 covers your visit with the provider and treatment plan. Labs, imaging, and prescriptions are available at affordable rates too and we're transparent about all costs upfront. See all self-pay rates.
What does a follow-up visit cost if I'm self-pay?
All primary care visits are $50 including follow-ups. Mental health visits are $100 for the first visit and follow-up visits are $80.
What if I can't afford the $50 visit?
Sliding-scale rates are available for patients who can't afford the standard self-pay rate. Call (281) 385-8554 and the front desk will walk you through eligibility. We don't turn patients away for inability to pay.
Why is your self-pay rate so much lower than other clinics?
We're a mission-driven nonprofit that prioritizes patients over profits — our revenue funds the practice directly. Generous donors and foundations who believe in our cause also help support our work.
Can I use HSA or FSA dollars to pay?
Yes. HSA, FSA, cash, and credit/debit cards are all accepted.

Insurance & billing

What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Molina, and UnitedHealthcare. Call (281) 385-8554 to verify your specific plan. See all accepted insurances.
Will you bill my insurance if I have it?
Yes. If you have insurance and want it billed, bring your card and we'll bill direct. See all accepted insurances.
What if I have insurance but want to pay self-pay anyway?
You can. Some patients prefer the predictable $50 rate over their insurance copay/deductible math. Just tell us at check-in.
Will labs and imaging cost more if I'm self-pay?
No — our published self-pay rates apply whether you have insurance or not. One thing to note: you'll need to choose either self-pay or insurance for your full visit. We aren't able to bill insurance for some services and accept self-pay for others within the same visit.
What if I lose my insurance mid-treatment?
Tell us — we'll switch you to self-pay and continue care without interruption.

About the visit

Do I need an appointment, or are walk-ins okay?
Appointments are strongly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome but dependent on provider availability — booking ahead guarantees your spot with minimal wait.
What should I bring to my visit?
Bring a photo ID (driver's license, passport, or any government-issued ID), your insurance card if you plan to use one (not needed for self-pay), a list of your current medications including over-the-counter and supplements (a photo of the bottle works), and your payment method (cash, credit/debit card, or HSA/FSA card).
Are you really open on Saturdays?
Yes — Saturdays 9am to 5pm. We recommend booking ahead since it's a popular day.
What if I need to be seen on a weekday?
Our Stafford clinic at 3727 Greenbriar Drive is open Mon–Sat, 9am to 5pm.

Eligibility & documentation

Do you see undocumented patients?
Yes. We see patients regardless of immigration status. We do not ask for documentation to be seen, and we do not share patient information with immigration authorities.
Do I need to be a Texas resident to be seen?
No. We see patients from all over the Houston metro and beyond. We don't require Texas-based insurance or proof of residency.

Services & prescriptions

What about prescriptions?
Yes — our on-site pharmacy can fulfill most prescriptions right in the same building, at affordable self-pay rates with insurance accepted too.
Do you do labs and imaging on-site?
Lab work, ultrasound, and fibroscan are on-site at our Stafford clinic. X-ray, MRI, and CT scans are through partner imaging centers in Houston at discounted self-pay rates.
Do you offer mental health care?
Yes — psychiatry for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other conditions. Self-pay rates are $100 initial consultation and $80 follow-up visit. Telehealth available across Texas.
