TRS Health is a Stafford, TX clinic where most of our patients don't have insurance and self-pay. Your primary care visit is $50 flat — same physicians, same exam rooms, same care. Annual physicals, ongoing care for chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, sick visits, prescription refills. Labs and ultrasound on-site; X-ray, MRI, CT, and echocardiogram through our partner network at cash-pay rates well below hospital retail.

  • Time with your physician or NP — not rushed
  • Physical exam, diagnosis, treatment plan
  • Prescription if needed
  • Referral coordination if needed

How to come in if you're uninsured

  1. Book online using the scheduling form or call (281) 385-8554.
  2. Bring a photo ID and any prior medical records. No insurance card needed.
  3. Pay $50 at check-in by cash, card, or HSA/FSA.
  4. See a provider for your consultation.
  5. Pay for any labs/imaging at the time — quoted before any test runs.

What's the catch with $50 primary care visits?
No catch. We're a nonprofit with a mission to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to every Houstonian, regardless of income or insurance status. We built the operation around that. The $50 covers your visit with the provider and treatment plan. Labs, imaging, and prescriptions are available at affordable rates too and we're transparent about all costs upfront. Why is your self-pay rate so much lower than other clinics?
We're a mission-driven nonprofit that prioritizes patients over profits — our revenue funds the practice directly. Generous donors and foundations who believe in our cause also help support our work.
What does a follow-up visit cost if I'm self-pay?
All primary care visits are $50 including follow-ups. Mental health visits are $100 for the first visit and follow-up visits are $80.
Can I use HSA or FSA dollars to pay?
Yes. HSA, FSA, cash, and credit/debit cards are all accepted.
What if I can't afford the $50 visit?
Sliding-scale rates are available for patients who can't afford the standard self-pay rate. Call (281) 385-8554 and the front desk will walk you through eligibility. We don't turn patients away for inability to pay.
Do you see undocumented patients?
Yes. We see patients regardless of immigration status. We do not ask for documentation to be seen, and we do not share patient information with immigration authorities.
Will you bill my insurance if I have it?
Yes. If you have insurance and want it billed, bring your card and we'll bill direct. See all accepted insurances.
What about prescriptions?
Yes — our on-site pharmacy can fulfill most prescriptions right in the same building, at affordable self-pay rates with insurance accepted too.
Can I be seen on a Saturday if I'm uninsured?
Yes. We're open Mon–Sat, 9am–5pm.
