February was a month of celebration and commitment, where we embraced Black History Month with fervor. Our efforts in this month symbolized our dedication to inclusivity and health advocacy. The events we organized highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the African American community while underscoring our mission to promote health equity and unity within our community.
  • Feb 4: At the “Baker Ripley: Community Resource Fair,” we provided valuable resources to the community.
  • Feb 5: We actively supported the “Houston First Baptist Church Annual Health Fair,” emphasizing the importance of physical well-being.
  • Feb 10: Our “Workshop with Endeavors: Narcan” aimed at increasing awareness and preparedness for Narcan usage.
  • Feb 11: We encouraged physical activity and community participation at the “Turtle Race 5k Fun Run and Kids 1k with Alvin ISD Education.”
  • Feb 18: The “5th Ward Health Fair” addressed health disparities within the community, fostering discussions on equitable health solutions.
  • Feb 28: We closed the month with the “Baker Ripley Black History Month Celebration,” a vibrant event that celebrated diversity and unity.
